Chillin Out. US Style!

I have to say this trip is proving to be exactly what the doctor ordered. A time to relax, chill out and recharge the batteries. I am based in Orlando, Florida and staying with some really great friends, Beth, Barry and their family. They are wonderful people and they have welcomed me into their home as if I were family. It is really nice waking up each morning with no pressure from what had me take some time out in the first place and not worrying about the stuff that caused me so much pain. I think us Irish can take a leaf out of the American hospitality. Our “Cead Mile Failte” at times, leaves a lot to be desired.

Yesterday I took a flight up to Ohio to visit my sister Anne Maria who has lived here for some time. BTW the flight was the worst I was ever on in my life as we flew straight into a severe thunderstorm and we were going from left to right and up and down to beat the band. I was quite scared and its amazing what becomes your priority when faced with a very serious situation. We eventually landed in Pittsburgh and it was great to see my sister. My brother David and his family are also visiting with her from Ireland so it was great to hook up with all of them.

There are times when its nice to be doing the simple things in life. Playing football in the field, walking, watching baseball and so on. These are the important things for me right now and they are having the desired effect.

Finally I have made contact with some old business associates of mine and I am currently  looking at some opportunities. As I always say “when opportunity knocks you dont complain about the noise”.
